Carbon steel channels consist mainly of iron (Fe) and carbon (C) with different quantities of manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), and silicon (Si) for added strength and resistance. Their mechanical properties vary with the grade but are usually a tensile strength of 370-700 MPa, yield strength of 250-550 MPa, and elongation of 10-25%.
