Carbon Steel BS3059-2 Pipe is a carbon steel containing 0.22% max carbon, trace amounts of manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon. It has an average carbon content of 0.25 to 0.35% which provides a compromise between strength and ductility. The mechanical properties of BS3059-2 pipes include yield strength of minimum 250 MPa and tensile strength that ranges from 410 to 550 MPa. These pipes have excellent weldability, formability, and corrosion resistance and are very suitable for high-pressure applications in boilers and pressure vessels with good performance under elevated temperature conditions.
